We have state-of-the-art equipment and experienced professionals who can evaluate your hearing. We use special ‘videootoscopy’ equipment to visually monitor your hearing. Combined with the knowledge of our specially trained audiologists, you’ll know exactly what it will take to have better hearing health. - Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs): FM Systems
You may have certain communications needs that can’t be solved alone by hearing aids. For example, when you use the telephone or listen to the radio, you still may have difficulty hearing clearly. Special devices have been developed to solve these problems. Assistive listening devices make specific desired sounds, rather than all sounds (in the surrounding environment) louder for more clarity. - Electronystagmography
The physician’s evaluation of the dizzy patient often requires assessment of the vestibular system. Electronystagmography testing is electrical recording of eye movements caused by positional or caloric stimulation of the inner ear balance structures. The test battery will identify the presence of dizziness or imbalance due to unequal neural messages to the vestibular system. - ABR-Diagnostic Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR)
ABR-Diagnostic Auditory brainstem response (ABR) is a diagnostic test which is similar to an elctroencephalogram (EEG). This procedure involves the use of clicking sounds to stimulate the auditory nerve, which produces an electical response. Electrodes placed on the patient’s face and ears pick up the electical activity of the nerve, and a computer displays the results for the audiologist to interpret. Also known as BERA, BAER. - Ear Molds
Custom-made noise protection earmolds – Any kind of noise exposure is potentially damaging to hearing, so whether your noise exposure comes from your work environment or just mowing your lawn, custom earmolds can provide protection from noise-induced hearing loss.
Swim Molds – People who do not want water in their ear canals can have floatable swimmer’s ear plugs made of a water resistant material which can even be made to change colors! - OtoAcoustic Emissions
OtoAcoustic Emissions – A small probe like an earplug is placed into the ear canal, and a series of tones is presented to the ear. The probe records the response from the hair cells of the inner ear to these tones to give an indication as to hair cell function. - Fitting & Follow-up
When your new hearing aids arrive, we will meet again. We will make certain that your hearing aids fit your ears properly, and they will be programmed for your specific hearing loss. You will be fully instructed in the use and care of your hearing aids. Also, we will provide you with helpful tips on how to get adjusted to all of the wonderful sounds you will be hearing.
